Crew- Departure : South America
- Arrival : Europe
The long way home
Sailing from South America back to Europe is less common: you have to get out of the trade winds and cross the equator again. Many boats first head up to the Caribbean, then reach Europe via the Azores.
Most boats leave in spring, between April and June, to reach Europe at the start of summer. It's a long voyage, often done in several legs.
