The service

EveryTransatlantic connects people who want to cross the Atlantic by sailboat: crew and skippers post ads and exchange messages. The site also gathers ads published on other websites.

EveryTransatlantic is not a party to agreements between members and does not check members' identity, boats or skills. Everyone remains responsible for their choices and their safety at sea.

Signing up and posting ads are free.

Account and content

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what you publish: ads, photos, messages.

Illegal, misleading, abusive or discriminatory content, scams and unsolicited commercial messages are forbidden. We may remove content or suspend an account that does not follow these rules.

Boosts (purchase)

A boost features your ad: at the top of search results and in the “Featured” row of the Ads page, with a badge, for the duration purchased (7 days, 30 days or 8 weeks). Prices shown on the offer page: [TO FILL IN: “VAT included” or “VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code”].

The boost starts as soon as you pay; several boosts add up. It does not guarantee any number of views or replies. It keeps running if the ad is made private or its dates are over.

Payment by card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), processed by Stripe. The receipt is sent by email.

Right of withdrawal: the boost starts immediately, at your request. By paying, you agree that it starts before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and you waive this right (article L221-28 of the French consumer code).

An ad removed because it does not follow these terms does not give right to a refund. In case of a technical problem, contact us: we will find a solution.

Donations

Donations are voluntary, without anything in return, and help run and improve the site. [TO FILL IN: state whether they give right to a tax receipt; without a recognized association, they do not].

Liability

We do our best to keep the site running without interruption, without being able to guarantee it. EveryTransatlantic is not responsible for ads published by members or taken from other websites, nor for what happens between members.

Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, contact us first: we always look for an amicable solution.

Consumer mediation: [TO FILL IN: name, website and address of the consumer mediator you are registered with].

These terms may change; the version online is the one that applies.
