The North Atlantic crossing
The North Atlantic crossing, from the US or Canada to Europe, is sailed in late spring and early summer. The most common route goes via Bermuda then the Azores; the northern route is more direct, but also colder.
Most boats leave between May and July, from the US East Coast or from Halifax. Expect about three weeks to the Azores.
