This 59-year-old British woman, based on the Isle of Man, is looking for a transatlantic crossing and will be available from early December for a few months. She has more than 25,000 nautical miles under her keel and races in the UK on an Oyster 48. Her qualifications include RYA Coastal Skipper, Day Skipper practical, Yachtmaster Offshore and Oceanmaster theory, VHF, diesel engine maintenance, first aid, sea survival and STCW basic safety training. Her long-distance passages include Fehmarn to Corfu, Horta to Greenock, Lanzarote to Madeira, the Azores and Lisbon, and Falklands to Cape Town. She has also raced the Fastnet, the Sydney Hobart and RORC offshore races, and has sailed extensively around the Irish Sea and Scotland. She is a non-smoker, speaks fluent English and has basic French. She is open to racing crew, mile building, delivery crew or friendship-based arrangements, either professional or recreational.
