A 27-year-old German sailor based in France is looking for a berth on a boat crossing the Atlantic from the Canary Islands in autumn 2026. He has more than 700 nm of coastal sailing experience, has already skippered a boat himself and holds the German coastal license (SKS). He simply loves being on sailboats, and wants to meet the cruising community and learn from a longer offshore passage. He is happy to help wherever needed: sailing, standing watches, cooking, cleaning, maintenance and repairs, and preparing the boat for the crossing. He works as a software engineer and has a good practical grasp of electronics and mechanics. He describes himself as tidy, responsible and good-humoured on board. He speaks German and English, needs no visa, and is looking for a recreational arrangement as a competent crew member or for mile building.
